Cultivating Creativity and Sustainability: Maker’s Day Celebration under “Plant a Smile” Campaign
On 3rd October 2024, our pre-primary section embarked on an exciting journey of creativity and environmental consciousness as we celebrated Maker’s Day under the “Plant a Smile” Campaign. This joyful event, themed “Green Guardians,” encouraged our young makers to explore the intersection of art and nature.
Our students began by collecting fallen leaves and flowers from their surroundings. Under the guidance of our dedicated teachers, they then placed these natural materials on handkerchiefs, using dabbing techniques to create stunning leaf art. This innovative approach allowed students to discover the beauty of natural colors and textures.
Through this activity, our students developed their fine motor skills and creativity while learning about sustainability and environmental responsibility. They understood the importance of reusing and recycling natural materials and cultivated teamwork and collaboration. Our “Plant a Smile” initiative aims to spread happiness and positivity through community-driven activities, incorporating environmental conservation, creative workshops, and acts of kindness to create a better world.
It was a joy-filled day, witnessing our pre-primary students’ faces light up with excitement as they explored their creativity and connected with nature. The smiles, laughter, and sense of accomplishment made every moment truly special.
