Unleashing Creativity and Kindness: Makers Day Celebration under Plant a Smile Campaign
5th October 2024 marked a vibrant celebration of innovation, creativity, and compassion as our students enthusiastically participated in Maker’s Day activities under the Plant a Smile Campaign. This special day was divided into themed events catering to different grade levels, fostering a holistic experience.
Our Grades 3 and 4 students immersed themselves in artistic expressions through Pebble Painting and Stone Art, aptly titled Creative Carnival. These engaging activities encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression, while promoting eco-friendly art practices. The students’ imagination and talent were on full display as they transformed ordinary pebbles and stones into vibrant masterpieces.
Meanwhile, Grade 2 students explored the significance of gratitude and kindness through the Mindful Moments theme. They crafted heartfelt cards expressing appreciation for the environment and inspirational figures in their lives, and hung them on the Gratitude Tree. This meaningful exercise cultivated empathy, mindfulness, and a sense of community, instilling valuable life skills in our young learners.
To further enrich our students’ experience, we organized an enlightening talk show with a renowned Professor from Smmimer Government Hospital. The session, Exploring Careers in Healthcare, opened doors to understanding the diverse opportunities and challenges within the healthcare sector, inspiring our young minds to consider rewarding careers.
It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, creativity, and heartwarming moments, witnessing our students grow and connect with one another. The joy and enthusiasm in the air were palpable, making every moment truly special.
