Celebrating the Light of Knowledge: Teachers’ Day Extravaganza

Every year, India celebrates Teachers’ Day on 5th September to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the country’s first Vice President and former President, scholar, philosopher, and Bharat Ratna awardee, who was born on this day in 1888.
On this day, the learners of GISU took center stage, stepping into their teachers’ shoes for a day. The classrooms buzzed with youthful enthusiasm as they delivered lessons, managed discipline, and imparted knowledge, gaining a newfound respect for their educators.
But the surprises didn’t stop there. A few parents joined the ranks of our educators, embracing the role of teachers in the pre-primary section. Their admiration for the teachers’ hard work was palpable, and they marveled at the intricacies of teaching young minds.
The highlight of the day was the heartfelt tribute created by the students. They transformed the staffrooms into a canvas of love and appreciation, decorating them with vibrant colors and messages of gratitude.
