Empowering Young Minds: Celebrating Maker’s Day under Plant a Smile Campaign
Today, our school community came together to celebrate Maker’s Day, an integral part of our Plant a Smile campaign. This year’s theme, ‘Future Forward,’ inspired our students to think creatively, innovate, and take action towards a brighter tomorrow.
Our students showcased their talents and enthusiasm through diverse activities. The Grade 6-12 girls demonstrated strength and resilience during the Self-Defence workshop, equipping themselves with essential life skills. This empowering session encouraged them to stand up for themselves and others.
Meanwhile, Grade 5 students rocked the stage with an energetic Rap song on Environment, spreading awareness about conservation and sustainability. Their creative performance highlighted the importance of protecting our planet.
Pre-primary and Grade 1-5 students unleashed their creativity at the Pottery workshop, crafting unique pieces that reflected their imagination. This hands-on activity fostered their artistic expression and fine motor skills.
Maker’s Day embodies our commitment to nurturing curious, confident, and compassionate individuals. By providing platforms for self-expression and skill-building, we empower our students to develop problem-solving skills, cultivate creativity and critical thinking, build resilience and confidence, and foster social responsibility and environmental awareness.
Our Plant a Smile initiative aims to spread happiness, kindness, and sustainability through community-driven projects. Today’s celebration demonstrated the power of collective effort in shaping a better future.
We proudly acknowledge the enthusiasm, talent, and dedication displayed by our students and staff.
